Since 2016, the Institute of Music and Dance has been a member of the International Organization for the Transition of Professional Dancers (IOTOPD), an international entity established to support dancers in the midst of career transition. The IOTPD associates organisations in nine countries who offer systemic solutions for the transition of professional dancers. The IOPTD actively promotes the idea of career transition and facilitates dancers around the world in pursuing new career paths by promoting best practices in the field.
